ESCAPE ROOM ARMORY
ESCAPE ROOM ARMORY
From swords and spears, to Tommy guns and ticking bombs, escape rooms have a long history of putting faux weaponry in the hands of players. Weapons are often not only an important part of the story, they’re usually some of the cooler props guests can pose with at the end of the game.
While we do everything humanly possible to make sure our weapons are safe (swords and spears are foam and guns are non-firing replicas), we do still insist on practicing weapon safety.
STABBY THINGS - Swords, spears, daggers, and knives should all be handled with care, as even a foam tip or resin blade can amount to bad times if someone gets poked in the eye.
EXPLODING DEVICES - We currently have no fake explosives in our escape rooms, so if you find one, please do not try to disarm it.
GUN SAFETY - This is really the biggest one and a point of safety we take very seriously. All non-firing replicas shall be handled as if they were live firearms, that means:
1. Never, ever point one at another person
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until it’s time to shoot.
While faux weaponry help add to the immersion of an escape room, treating them with the respect of actual weapons adds another layer of realism and safety at the same time.
